Sir Alex promises more transfers to come for Man Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Manchester United will be looking to announce more new signings before the summer transfer window closes.

The comment was made after Manchester United’s first summer signing, Japanese star Shinji Kagawa who transferred from Borussia Dortmund who scored in United’s 1-0 win over Shanghai Shenhua in the Chevrolet China Cup. United’s other summer signing Nick Powell also started in the match.

It has been reported that United are desperately trying to sign Brazilian sensation Lucas Moura whose price is expected to go up if he performs well for his country in the upcoming Olympics.

The other possible signing for Sir Alex is Everton defender Leighton Baines, who has been rumoured to be making the move to Old Trafford. If Baines signs he will be fighting with Patrice Evra to get the starting position at left back for United.

And finally who could forget the big rumour that Robin Van Persie may be heading to the Red Devil’s club. United has stated that they are interested in signing the Dutch International but it is felt that cross town rivals Manchester City are able to make a better offer to Van Persie.
