Andy Carroll could be heading back to Newcastle

Reports are saying that Andy Carroll could be heading back to Newcastle after Russian club Rubin Kazan triggered a £7 million buyout in Demba Ba’s contract.

Kazan will be looking to wrap up the deal to secure the Senegalese striker before the July 31 deadline.

Kazan will be fighting against Liverpool and Galatasaray, who have also shown interest in Ba.

If Ba goes it will pave the way for Carroll to make his return. Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has confirmed he is in the market for Carroll and has already had a loan request denied. It will be up to club owner Mike Ashley who will determine if the Magpies will  see him wearing their colors again.

With new manager Brendon Rodgers at Liverpool, it seems that Carroll doesn’t suit the style of play he will be looking for from his players this season.

Having Carroll back in the side for Newcastle will help them push for the Champions league, which they narrowly missed last season.
