A.S. Roma too good for Liverpool in the US
Liverpool suffered a 2-1 defeat by A.S Roma at Fenway Park in Boston the home of the Boston Red Sox Baseball team in their latest preseason friendly.
It was Brendan Rodgers’s first defeat as Liverpool manager, but despite the loss there were plenty of positives to take from the match.
All the goals came in the second half and it was Roma that took the lead with goals to their American midfielder Michael Bradley and forward Alessandro Florenzi who both scored from close range.
Charlie Adams was the Red’s only scorer putting one away with ten minutes remaining in the match. Rodgers used a total of 22 players for the match so he could give game time to as many of his players as he could.
Liverpool will next play fellow EPL club side Tottenham in Baltimore on July 28.
